Albert Dwain Mayer

November 17, 1938 — January 13, 2022

Mr. Albert Dwain Mayer, age 83, beloved husband to Mrs. Ann Hodson Mayer, entered into eternal rest on Thursday January 13, 2022.

In addition to his precious wife he is survived by his brothers, Jimmy Cyril (Vickie) Mayer, Julian Douglas (Mot) Mayer; sister, Janie Mayer (Rev. Andrew David) Eargle; brother-in-law, Jonhny (Beverly) Hodson; and sister-in-law, Julie Ferrara.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cyril Enoch and Julia Shealy Mayer.
Mr. Mayer was an avid fisherman and loved Bass Pro Shop. He loved woodworking and built beautiful furniture. He was a member of the Horse Creek Historical Society and St. Paul’s Episcopal church in Graniteville where he served on the Vestry and was Junior Warden. Mr. Mayer retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas in Aiken SC. He will forever be missed by his loving family and all who knew him.
Due to covid concerns the family will be having a private funeral service on Tuesday at 3pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Graniteville with Pastor Doug Puckett officiating. The interment will immediately follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Ken Turnbull, John Hodson, Jr., Jaime Busbee, Nathan Mayer, David Eargle and Lon Ennis.
