Annie Ruth Redd

August 3, 1929 — July 10, 2022

Mrs. Annie Ruth Redd, age 93, entered into rest on Sunday July 10, 2022 at Aiken Regional Medical Center, attended by her immediate family.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Cecil Redd, children Alan Redd, Susan (Don) Clay, grandchildren Evan (Michelle) Redd, Lindsay Redd, Heather (Eric) Edwards and five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by parents George and Miranda Hancock, sisters Frances Hall, Marian Harris, brother George Hancock, Jr., daughter-in-law Linda Redd and grandson James Richard Bartley.

Annie Ruth was a devout Christian instilled with biblical Ruth virtues.  She was determined, humble, hardworking, trustworthy, loyal, kind, courageous and faith-filled.                                                                             

A quiet, wise woman of pure heart and great character, she radiated inner beauty drawn from the strength, joy and peace of her walk with Jesus.  Always loving and kind to family, friends and everyone she met, children were her delight and her legacy is faith.

She retired as an administrative assistant from the Vaucluse Division of the Graniteville Company.

A Graveside service will be conducted at Vaucluse cemetery in Vaucluse, SC at 11:00 am Wednesday July 13, 2022 with Monsignor Richard Harris officiating.  

 

Pallbearers will be Buddy Redd, Evan Redd, Don Clay, Auren Mitchell, Richard Johnson, and Andy Redd.
