Barbara Jean Wilson

Barbara Jean Wilson, age 80, of Warrenville, S.C., loving wife for 65 years to Eugene “Harold” Wilson and daughter of the late Herman Ready and the late Clara Ford Ready, entered into the gates of Heaven on Saturday, January 13, 2018. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, James “Lester” (Kim) Wilson of Edgefield, S.C. and Phillip R. (Krystal)Wilson of Warrenville, S.C.; daughters, Norma Jean Cooper and April (Joey) Walton both of Warrenvillle, S.C., Debbie (Henry) Harnage of North Augusta, S.C. and Melissa Diane (Thomas) Sturkie of Woodford, S.C.; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of Pine Forrest Baptist Church. Next to her love for her Church and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, came her love for her family, who she loved with all of her heart. The family stated that her favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm. Her hobbies included cooking, and she also enjoyed listening to the older style Country Music. She had a big heart and loved everybody. A woman of her caliber shall be greatly missed by her family and everyone whose lives she touched during the 80 years that God granted her on this earth. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held at Pine Forrest Church in Langley, S.C. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Ron Doss officiating. The interment will follow at the Historical Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friend at the Funeral Home this Tuesday evening, January 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorials, in her honor, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S.C. 29210.
