Betty J. Curtis Knowles

June 9, 1932 — September 4, 2018

Betty J. Curtis Knowles, age 86, wife for 69 years to the late William T. Knowles and daughter of the late Namon Curtis and the late Minnie Lee Sanders Curtis, entered into eternal rest at Aiken Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. She is survived by daughters; Carolyn (Don) Gibson, Marilyn (Frank) Miller and Lynn Knowles; a sister, Neta Hamilton; grandchildren, Candy (Bobby) Griffin, Jason (Amber) Stokes; great grandchildren, Makenzie Griffin, Madison Griffin, Cameron Stokes and Tanner Stokes and a number of nieces and nephews. She was born in Gloverville, S.C. and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C.  She was a member of Little Horse Creek Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother who loved her family with all her heart and they inturn loved her. Her family stated that she really enjoyed cooking for all of them. A lady of her caliber shall be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Death is not the end for her as she shall live on forever in the hearts of her family and loved ones. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening, September 6th, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.  A service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held at Little Horse Creek Baptist Church on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Derald Adams and Rev. Lynn Kirkland officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville. The Pallbearers will be Donnie Turner, Wayne Huff, Kenny Arthur, Roger Adams, Austin Johnson and Jerry Walden.  Memorials, in her honor, may be made to US Renal Southside, 169 Crepe Myrtle Court, Aiken, S.C. 29803.  Napier Funeral Home Inc., 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
