Mrs. Betty Carolyn Redd entered into rest on Friday February 3, 2023 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Vaucluse, S.C. in 1936, and is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Estelle Turner, and Inez Warren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Furman Redd; daughters, Susan Dawn Ready, Sharon Diane (Patrick) Prine, Sandra Redd (Brandon) Matthews; and grandchildren, Mason Craig, Grace Carolyn Prine, Sophia Ready, and Julia Matthews.
Mrs. Redd worked as a bookkeeper in the Area 3 school system for 17 years, and spent 16 years as a military wife, something she enjoyed greatly. She was a member of Warrenville First Baptist, where she was very active. Betty was an extraordinarily kind woman and loved people. More than anything she loved her husband and her family. She was an amazing grandmother, and the perfect example of what a Christian mother should be.
A Funeral Service, celebrating her life, will be held 1 P.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Warrenville First Baptist with Dr. Walter Pym and Rev. Bobby Broach to officiate. The burial will follow immediately at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M to 7 P.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Napier Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Brandon C. Matthews, Patrick Prine, Mason Craig, Al Norris, Francis Bauer, and Frankie Bauer.
