Betty Taylor, Ramsey Seigler

December 31, 1969 — March 13, 2016

SEIGLER-Betty Taylor Ramsey Seigler, age 80, of Aiken, S.C., wife of the late Walter Ramsey and the late Claude Seigler and daughter of the late Leonard and Grace Adams Taylor, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, March 13, 2016. She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Steve) Scott of Orangeburg, S.C.; stepsons, Allen (Ann) Seigler and Anthony Seigler both of Aiken, S.C.; a daughter-in law, Janet Ramsey of Aiken, S.C.; sisters, Catherine Williams of Graniteville, S.C., Joann Seeby of Aiken, S.C., Evelyn Smith of Ward, S.C. and Shirley Barnett of Graniteville, S.C.; a brother, Leonard “Junior” Taylor, Jr. of Asheville, N.C.; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and spouses, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger Ramsey and two sisters, Mae Baughman and Dorothy Jean Boatwright. She was a retired stockroom clerk with Roses Dept. Store in Aiken. She was a very active member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. She was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed in her local community. She enjoyed cooking especially baking cakes, which could be purchased at Grice’s Butcher Shop in Aiken. She loved her family and her Lord with all of her heart. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 80 years that God granted her on this earth. Death is not the end, as she has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home where all is joy and peace and the soul shall never die in a land of endless tomorrows. A service, celebrating her life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Benjamin Franklin officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Scott, Travis Scott, Michael Zielinski, Christopher Seigler, Sam Rhine and Jim Wicker. Her Grandsons; Jacob Scott, Chase Scott, Kyle Ramsey and Landon Hutto will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior the service. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to her caregiver, Donna Sorrell for the wonderful care and love that she gave to their loved one. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to “Pass The Salt Ministries” C/O Central Baptist Church, 1652 Wire Rd., Aiken, S.C. 29805.
