Beverly Simons McElwee

McELWEE-Beverly Simons McElwee, age 71, of West Columbia, S.C., formerly of Aiken County, S.C., entered into rest at her granddaughter’s residence in North Augusta, S.C., on Thursday, May 26, 2016. She is survived by daughters, Robin (John) Arthur and Kimberly (Wayne) Whisenant; sons, Darrell (Katherine) McElwee and Michael (Joy) McElwee; a brother, Michael Simons; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was born in Aiken County, S.C. She retired from Asco as a inventory clerk. She was a member of Eureka First Baptist Church in Eureka, S.C. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 71 years that God granted her on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. She has made that transition to her new Heavenly home where all is peace and joy in a land of endless tomorrows, and no sad goodbyes are ever spoken. A memorial service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held at Eureka First Baptist Church this Sunday evening, May 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. John Arthur officiating.
