Carolyn Lucille, Wilson Wise

December 31, 1969 — December 4, 2015

WISE-Ms. Carolyn Lucille Wilson Wise, age 90, of Langley, S.C., loving wife of the late James Wise and daughter of the late William H. Wilson and the Late Cora Lee Gingrey Wilson, answered God’s call and entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 4, 2015. She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Barfield of Gloverville, S.C.; a son, L. D. Wise of Beech Island, SC., a brother, Eugene H. Wilson of Bath, S.C.; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughters, Linda Holsonback Nolan, and Phyllis Wise Moyer, and a son, Mike Holsonback. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She retired from Hickman Cloth Room as a Cloth Inspector after forty-one years of service. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was a dedicated member of Gloverville Baptist Church in Gloverville, S.C. She loved her family and her Lord with all of her heart. She was truly an example Christian. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 90 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. Death is definitely not the end for Miss Carolyn, as she has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home in a land of endless tomorrows, where all is peace and joy and no sad goodbyes are ever spoken. A service, celebrating her life and home going, will be held at Gloverville Baptist Church this Sunday evening, December 6, 2015 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy Napier officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, S.C. The family will receive friends at the Church from 1:00 PM until the hour of service. Since she was so supportive with her donations while she was living to getting a church van, in lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Gloverville Baptist Church toward the purchase of a church van. She would most likely smile down on each who help fulfill her mission. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
