Dean Robert Carver

CARVER-Dean Robert Carver, age 91, of Graniteville, S.C., son of the late William R. and Louise Kelley Carver, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 13, 2016. He is survived by sons, Rick Soto, Pete Lacey, Bert Lacey and Chuck Lacey; daughters, Sharon Carver, Deana Vaughn and Patricia Poston; a sister, Barbara Ann Head; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Jean Hall and his second wife, Rennate Lacey. He was born in Walhalla, S.C. but has spent most of his life in Aiken County, S.C. He retired from Tyco Industries. He was a US Navy Veteran, having bravely served his country during World War II. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend who shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 91 years that God granted him on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and loved ones. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening, November 18th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating his life and home going, will be held at the Midland Valley Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Kyle Poole officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, S.C.
