Dr. Rev. Wilma Anaweise Porterfield McClain

McClain- Dr. Rev. Wilma Anaweise Porterfield McClain, age 69, of Graniteville, S. C., entered into eternal rest, after a long battle with cancer, on Saturday, June 17, 2017. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Lynn (Lee) Duvall of Graniteville, S.C.; grandchildren, Melanie and Dana DuVall; a sister, Linda Jones of Langley, S.C. and her best friend/like a sister, Sherril Mikell of Gloverville, S.C. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of Gloverville Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a dedicated Minister of the Gospel. She spent her life winning souls to Christ and even on her death bed she was instrumental in doing so. She loved her family and friends, but most of all, she had a sincere compassion for their souls. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 69 years that God granted her on this earth. Death is not the end, as she has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home, where all is joy and peace, and no more sad goodbyes are ever spoken. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held at Gloverville Pentecostal Holiness Church in Gloverville, S.C. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Sherrill Green, Rev. David Flanders, Rev. Stephen Phillips, Bishop Ray Boggs and Rev. Edner Herrera officiating. The interment will follow the service at the Langley Cemetery in Langley, S. C. The Pallbearers will be Dwayne Hudson, Mark Hudson, Donnie Hudson, Jerry Jennings, Bill Goodwin and Tracy Goodwin. Friends and Family members will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations, in her honor, may be made to the family to assist with the funeral expenses.
