HEWITT-Eddie Robert Hewitt, age 73, of Augusta, Ga., loving husband of Winnie Davenport Hewitt and son of the late Purvis J. Hewitt and the late Mildred McCarty Hewitt entered into rest at University Hospital on Monday, May 23, 2016. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Sandra H. Wright and Lura Hewitt; sons, Eddie Robert Hewitt, Jr.; David Hewitt and Chris Hewitt; a sister, Julia Johnson; brothers, Jimmy Hewitt, Purvis Hewitt, Jr. and Tracy Hewitt; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, May 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Ray Farmer officiating. The interment will follow at the Warrenville Cemetery.
