Elizabeth Powell Baker

Mrs. Elizabeth Powell Baker, 79, entered into rest on Monday December 30, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, James “Jimmy” H. Baker; parents, Walter and Janie Ruth Powell; daughter, Judith “Judy” Marie Baker; and brother, Anthony Powell.

She is survived by her son. James “Ernie” Ernest Baker; daughter, Shannon (Ronnie) Arthur; grandchildren, Amanda “Nikki” Arthur, James Nickalous (Haley) Arthur; great grandchildren, Kinsleigh Rae, Preston Charles; many nieces and nephews; and furbabies, Gibbs and Finn.

Mrs. Baker retired from the Kimberly-Clark Corporation after many years of service. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Valley. She enjoyed working in her yard and camping. She was always laughing and making jokes and was a light in the lives of all that knew her. More than anything she loved her family and her dogs. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

A Funeral Mass, celebrating her life, will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. The burial will follow immediately at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday January 3, 2025 from 5 to 7 P.M. at Napier Funeral Home & Crematory.

Pallbearers will be Dale Williams, Ronnie Arthur, Noah Williams, Jamie Corley, Jeffery Boyd, and Michael Kaney.
