Emma Ruth Herring

May 29, 1940 — October 27, 2023

North Augusta

Mrs. Emma Ruth Herring, 83, entered into rest on Friday, October 27, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Bruce A. Herring; and her parents, Delphin and Callie Yonn.

She is survived by her son Rex A. (Cyndi) Herring; daughter, Laurie (Glenn) Rowe; and grandchildren, Andrew Thomas Herring, William Tyler (Ivy) Rowe, Matthew Glenn Rowe, and Callie Elizabeth Rowe.

Emma was a lifelong member of Graniteville First Baptist Church where she was very generous with her time helping with many church activities. She was a faithful and devoted Christian woman and passed down her values and love for Christ to her children and grandchildren. She was an artist that loved to draw and paint, she loved to read, play games, and to garden. More than anything she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

A Funeral Service, celebrating her life, will be held at 3 P.M. on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Graniteville First Baptist Church, with Pastor Todd Sessions to officiate. The burial will follow immediately at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
