Erluth Johnson Turner

TURNER-Ms. Erluth Johnson Turner, age 94, of Graniteville, S.C., wife for 56 years to the late Rufus B. Turner and daughter of the late Wiley Everette Johnson and the late Florence Lowe Johnson, entered into eternal rest at Aiken Regional Medical Center on Friday evening, September 1, 2017. She is survived by daughters Laura Kneece of Graniteville, S.C., Norma Rippy of Summerton, S.C., Ruth (Ronnie) Golding of Aiken, S.C. and Evelyn (Tim) Chipley of Langley, S.C.; a sister, Margaret Faulkner of Graniteville, S.C.; grandchildren, Bryan (Tracy) Kneece, Alan (Shawn) Kneece, Kevin (Holly) Rippy, Clay (Dana) Chipley, Stewart Golding, Glynn (Clara) Chipley, Michael (April) Golding, Jeremy Golding, Sharon (Bob) Elder and Christy Rippy and eighteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Everette Johnson and Marvin L. Johnson and sons-in-law, Herbert Kneece and Wayne Rippy. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Graniteville. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 94 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. A graveside service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held at the Graniteville Cemetery on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Steve Gillette officiating. Her grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Graniteville SC, in Ms. Turner's honor. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C., 29829, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
