Ethel Lea Jackson Roberts

ROBERTS-Ethel Lea Jackson Roberts, age 87, of Aiken, S.C., wife of the late W. A. Roberts and daughter of the late Henry Jackson and the late Daisy Carr Jackson, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 27, 2016. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra McCollum of Windsor, S.C.; a son, Roger Godwin of Aiken, S.C.; a sister, Elma Gregory of Moncks Corner, S.C.; Suzanne and Larry Morris of Aiken, S.C., a special granddaughter and grandson, who were also her faithful caregivers; seven other grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine G. Faulkner and a son, Henry Godwin. She was born in Moncks Corner, S.C. but has lived in Aiken, S.C. for a good part of her life. She retired from Therma Disc in Aiken. She was a dedicated member of Highland Pines Baptist Church in Aiken. Her family stated that she was a loving and hard working mother, grandmother, sister and friend who loved everybody. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 87 precious years that God granted her on this earth. Death is not the end, as she has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home in a land of endless tomorrows, where the soul will never die, and we will never have to say goodbye again. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. A service, celebrating her life and home going, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Wesley Greene and Rev. Clinton D. Jackson officiating. The interment will follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Allan Morris, Lee Thompson, Jamie Shealy, Donald Hollar, Robert Pierson, Jr., Marcus S. Bennett and Michael Baggott. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening, March 2nd from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
