Ever Grace Day

Ms. Ever Grace Day, 82, entered into rest on Thursday June 20, 2024 surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Alma Mundy New; brothers, Charlie New, Phillip New; Sisters, Eunice Newman, Ann Davis, Azilee Brooks Jackson, and Betty Lewis.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Harris, Teresa (Wayne) Harris, Shelby Bodie; sister, Jean McNulty; grandchildren, Angela Bates, April Smotherman, Amanda Harris, Allen Bodie, Anthony Harris, Shelby Willis, Dale Harris; 9 great grandchildren with 1 on the way; and 2 great-great granddaughters.

Ms. Day was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, and a member of Central Baptist Church. She retired from Avondale Mills. She was active in her church and enjoyed participating in the Golden Nuggets church group. She lived and breathed her soap operas, the Young & the Restless and the Bold & the Beautiful. She was a festive woman and enjoyed celebrating any and all holidays. She loved her family more than anything and loved the times when they could get together. She will be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend.

A Funeral Service, celebrating her life, will be held at Central Baptist Church, 1652 Wire Rd Aiken, SC 29805, on Tuesday June 25, 2024 at 5 P.M. with Pastor Buddy Brinkley to officiate. The burial will follow immediately at the Central Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. 

Pallbearers will be Wayne Smotherman, Dylan Bates, Bradley Bates, Anthony Harris, Dale Harris, and Wayne Harris. 

The family would like to send their sincere thanks to Helping Hands Hospice, Sabrina Williamson, Marie Yates, Christina Smith, Suzette Hunt, and Megan Good for their loving care of Ms. Day.
