HALL-Frances Horne Hall, age 84, of Aiken, S.C. wife of the late Henry F. Hall and daughter of the late Samuel Richard Horne and the late Ruth Melton Horne Weatherford, entered into eternal rest at her daughter’s residence in Leesville, S.C. on Friday, December 11, 2015. She is survived by a son, Richard C. (Debbie) Hall of Graniteville, S.C.; daughters, Kathy H. (Bill) Courtney of Leesville, S.C., Julie F. (David) Cook of Woodstock, Ga. and Melanie H. (Ronnie) Johnson of Aiken, S.C.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert W. Hall and a grandson, William “Will” Courtney, III. She was born in Putnam County, Ga. During her working years she was a Switchboard Operator and Customer Service Rep. for Southern Bell. Her hobbies included crocheting and embroidering. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who never met a stranger. Her family stated that she was a strong-willed person, who loved her Lord and family with all her heart, and she never complained about anything. This world would be a much better place with more people like her. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 84 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her friends and loved ones. She has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” A graveside service, celebrating her life and home going, will be held at the Graniteville Cemetery on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Phillip Napier officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Will Courtney Foundation, 5700 Southwest 34th St., Gainesville, Florida 32608.
