Glenda Sue Padgett

Padgett – Glenda Sue Padgett, age 72, beloved wife to the late Douglas Lane Padgett, and daughter of the late Charles Brantley and Mildred Eubanks McManus, entered into eternal rest on Sunday October 29th, 2017 at her home. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Padgett (Bobby, Jr.) Glover ;grandchildren, Breannah (Scotty) Cleveland, Ariannah Glover, Kodie Smith, Jordan Smith; two step grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Padgett Smith; and brother, Eddie and Michael Brantley. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church for over fifty years. She was also a valued member of the Graniteville Leisure Years Club, St. John Seniors Lunch Group, and the United Methodist Women. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends whose lives she touched in the 72 precious years that God granted her on this earth. A service celebrating her life will be conducted on Thursday November 2nd, 2017 at 12 o’clock noon, at St. John United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Alan Quarles and Rev. Jody Padgett officiating. The interment will be held at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening November 1st, 2017 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be; Tommy Padgett, Kevin Faircloth, Steve Weeks, Clifton Chapman, Thomas Scott, Donnie Turner, Bobby Scott, and Bill Scott. A special thanks to; Mary Ann Reece, Sara Medlock, Dorothy Lowe, Bobbie Jean Padgett, and Lynn Chapman. Also, the family would like to extend their thanks to Regency Hospice for their great care of Ms. Padgett during her time of illness.
