Harold Dean Slaven

Mr. Harold Dean Slaven, age 71, entered into rest on Sunday May 16, 2021 at his home in Aiken.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joyce Pearson Slaven; son, Mickey (Tiffany) Slaven; daughter, Tabitha Deana. Collett (Tony Wise, Sr.); sisters, Sharon (Tom) Richardson, Cathy (Dave) Thomas, Denise (Pete) Kaiser; four grandchildren, Courtney, Saleen, Blake and Bryson; and one great grandchild, Adalyn “Lil Rainey”.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Clarence and Clara Jean Smith Slaven; grandparents, James Henry Slaven, Sr. (Hettie); and cousin, Shirley Hancock Goldman.
HE was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of the Aiken Horsepower Club. Harold Slaven was a hard working (simple) Christian man. He enjoyed nature and restoring muscle cars in his spare time. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with those he loved. Harold will forever be loved and missed by those who cared for him.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday May 20, 2021 at 3pm at Kedron Baptist Church in Aiken, SC with Pastor Brad Willis officiating. The interment will immediately follow at the Kedron Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening May 19, 2021 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Blake Slaven, Bryson Slaven, Jesse Posse, Alex Burckle, Tony Wise, Sr. and Donnie Collett.
