WARRENVILE- Mrs. Helen Powers Cowart, age 89, of Warrenville, S.C., beloved wife of the late Colon Cowart and daughter of the late Arzado Keller and Annie Warren Powers, entered into eternal rest on September 17, 2017. She was preceded in death by her sisters; Mary Nell Beck and Billie Joe Cole. She is survived by a son, Robin Cowart of Beech Island, S.C., a daughter, Ronnie Ann Gambill of Lexington, S.C. and four grandchildren: Kelli Gambill (John Covington), Kristi Moore (Brent), Jamie Busbee (Howie) and Nikki Kissiah (Mike) and nine great grandchildren. She was born in Aline, Georgia, but lived almost all of her life in Aiken County, S.C. She was a graduate of Leavelle McCampbell High School, Class of 1946, a retiree of the Graniteville Company, Main Office, and a faithful member of Warrenville First Baptist Church. She served her church and Lord in many capacities including the Bereavement, Flower and Social committees and by ministering to the sick and shut-ins with visits, meals and flowers. She was a nurturing and caring lady and a second mother to many. In recent months, she has been a resident at Pepper Hill Nursing Home in Aiken, S.C. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, September 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Warrenville First Baptist Church, 1012 Aiken Blvd., at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 21, 2017 with Rev. Steve Simpson officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, S.C. Her great nephews will serve as Pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Warrenville First Baptist Church, P. O.
