WIDENER-Mr. Jackie Leon Widener, age 67, of Graniteville, S.C., loving husband of Ludie Patricia Black Widener and son of the late Leon L. Widener and the late Jesse Loraine Berry Widener, entered into rest on Friday, May 20, 2016. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Dana Yonce of Graniteville, S.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Wayne Hopkins of Tennessee; grandchildren, Leroy Brown, Summer Widener, Hali Yonce and Lake Yonce Anderson and a great grandchild, Mary Jane Payton. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He was a welder and mechanic by trade. He was a US Army Special Forces Veteran. He was a member of the DAV and the American Legion. He was a loving husband, father, brother, a proud grandfather and great grandfather. He shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched during the 67 years that God granted him on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. A service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Alan Tillman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The interment will be private.
