James M. Duncan

December 31, 1969 — July 2, 2016

DUNCAN-James M. Duncan, age 60, of Aiken, S.C., husband of the late Diane Derrick Duncan and son of the late Everette T. Duncan and the late Mary Berry Duncan, entered into rest at Aiken Regional Medical Center on Saturday, July 2, 2016. He is survived by a stepson, Donny Holsonback; a daughter, Jennifer Rose (Sam) Duncan; five grandchildren; his brothers, Robert H. Duncan and his late wife, Donna and Larry T. (Martha) Duncan; his sister-in-law, Thelma Duncan and her late husband, Jack; four nieces, five nephews and a number of cousins. He was also preceded in death by his stepson, Robert H. Holsonback. He had a great personality and never met a stranger. He was a very special person who shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 60 years that God granted him on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. A service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 5:00 PM with Rev. Charles Wilson officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Jackie, Ricky, Tommy, Robbie and Ronnie Duncan and Russell Barton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, the day of the service from 3:00 until 5:00 PM. Memorials, may be made to New Beginnings Congegational Holiness Church, 2464 Columbia Highway, Aiken, S.C. 29805.
