Jimmie McManus

November 22, 1931 — August 7, 2018

Mr. Jimmie McManus, age 86, of Graniteville, SC, peacefully stepped into eternity with God on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018, following his courageous battle with dementia and cancer. He is now in the presence of his Lord Jesus. Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Mrs. Sara Bryan McManus; two children, Ted (Kathy) McManus of North Augusta, SC, and Terri (Larry) Harris of Graniteville, SC; two grandsons, C.B. (Jennifer) McManus of North Augusta, SC, and Taylor (Crystal) McManus of Lexington, SC; four granddaughters, Jena (Zeke) Deas of Beech Island, SC, Lindsey Harris, Morgan Harris and Kim (Anthony) Krepps all of Graniteville, SC; and three great granddaughters, Sabrina, Julia and Lacey Ocak all of North Augusta, SC. He was preceded in death by mother and stepfather, Daisy and Frank Yaun; and brothers, Billy and Kenneth Yaun. Jimmie was born in Augusta, Ga, on November 22nd, 1931. He was a graduate of Leavelle McCampbell High School in Graniteville and worked for the Graniteville Company for 42 years. He was a faithful member of the Graniteville First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Jimmie loved playing, coaching and watching baseball. A celebration of life and homegoing will be conducted on Thursday, August 9th, 2018 at 11 o’clock am, at the Graniteville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Milford Oswald and Rev. Todd Sessions officiating. The interment will immediately follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Tripp Bryan, Randy Ryan, Jay Bryan, Ricky Key, Wes Bryan and Brooke Bryan. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home.
