Joann Kentrolis Ellis

December 5, 1950 — September 26, 2022

Warrenville, SC

Mrs. Joann Kentrolis Ellis entered into rest Monday September 26, 2022.

Joann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a great personality and loved to make everyone laugh. Joann was kind-hearted and the most giving person in the world. Some of her hobbies included sewing, craft making, and playing cards. She kicked butt at rummy and spades. Joann loved mountain dew and wherever she went a bottle of it was with her. She loved traveling to the mountains on family vacations.  Her favorite holiday was Christmas and her tree was always up before Halloween. Most of all, she loved her family and friends as they were the light of her life. She will always be remembered as the rock of her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pauline and Joseph Kentrolis Sr.; and brothers, Joseph Nickolas Kentrolis Jr. and Charles Edward Kentrolis.

She is survived by her loving husband, Morris Ellis; son, John Melvin (Laurie) Duncan Jr.; daughter, Carole Ann (Bert Burbage) Duncan; brother, Roy Lee Kentrolis Sr.; brother-in-law Nathan (Cathy) Ellis; sister-in-law, Rita (Donald) Sebera; grandchildren, Ashley Strickland (Steven) Bragg, Candace Nicole (Anthony Medlock) Duncan, Amber Renee Duncan, John Melvin Duncan III, Annalia Preslee Burbage, and Dylan Reeves; great-grandchildren, Adyleigh Bragg, Aislee Bragg, Stoeger Bragg, Symantha Medlock, Avery Medlock, Brynlee Medlock, and Amir Rainey; and 4 nephews.
