JOHNSON-Landis Efird Johnson of Vaucluse, S.C., wife of the late Lloyd W. Johnson and daughter of Avis Booth Efird and the late John W. Efird, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 7, 2016. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Efird (Marcie H.) Johnson of New Holland, S.C.; a sister, Johnnie Ann Efird of Graniteville, S.C.; grandchildren, Brayley R. and Brenden L. Johnson and many nieces and nephews. She was born in Graniteville, S. C. but has spent most of her life in Vaucluse, S.C. Her working career included Graniteville Company, Aiken Regional Centers and Carolina Cancer Center. She also worked and retired as a Customer Rep. with Lowe’s in Aiken. Even though she had gone through health problems and was a cancer survivor, she was quite an active lady. She was involved with S. C. Walking Horse Ladies Auxiliary, the GHS Birthday Club and the Lowe’s Lunch Ladies. She was a dedicated member of Fellowship of Truth Baptist Church in Graniteville; there, she was a member of the Sunday School Class and the Ladies WMU. She was also a Bible School Volunteer and loved every minute of it. Last, but most important to her, she was very instrumental in getting the sign for the church. She has now finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her Maker, the Lord, Jesus Christ. “Well done thy good and faithful servant”. A service, celebrating her life and home going, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jamie Bodiford and Rev. Bobby Broach officiating. The interment will follow at the Vaucluse Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be nephews; David Johnson, Jr., Spence Johnson, Patrick Johnson, Brian Lowe, Ricky Johnson and Glenn Spradley. The Deacons of her church will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Fellowship of Truth Baptist Church, 106 Mt. Zion Rd., Graniteville, S.C. 29829. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Saturday evening, January 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Friends may also call at her mother’s residence in Graniteville. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. is in charge of the funeral arrangements. You can visit the online guest register at www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com.
