Leonard Barnes

Mr. Leonard Barnes, Sr. entered into rest Tuesday February 15, 2022.

Born in Graniteville, S.C. to the late Albert “Shorty” and Annie Barnes, Leonard worked for the Graniteville Company for 47 years and has been attending Christian Heritage since 1959. He was a good mechanic and enjoyed traveling, especially to his favorite vacation spot, Myrtle Beach. He will be remembered by many as a kind man, and by his family for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lois Barnes; sons, Lynn (Teresa) Barnes, Chris (Wanda) Barnes, and Laron (Missy) Barnes; sisters Emmie Clark, and Shirley Seigler; grandchildren, Micheal Barnes, Brandi Phillips, and Paige Barnes; and seven great grandsons.

A Funeral Service, celebrating his life, will be held at Christian Heritage Church on Thursday February 17, 2022 at 1 P.M., with Pastors Stephen Phillips, Jody Padgett, and Jonathan Randall to officiate. The burial will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Lowe, Dale Lamb, Dean Porter, Richie Clark, Donnie Turner, and Roger Boyd.
