Linda Baker Gray Rhoden

August 16, 1958 — March 11, 2018

Mrs. Linda Baker Gray Rhoden, age 59, loving wife for 37 years to Joey Rhoden, and daughter of her late biological parents, Furman Baker and Frances DuPree Baker and her late adopted parents, Paul E. Gray and Margie Key Allen Gray, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, March 11, 2018. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sisters, Deborah (Calvin) Spires of Warrenville, S.C. and Wanda (Lucky) Gray of Trenton, S.C.; brothers, Randy (Gina) Mathis of Lumpkin, Ga., Steve (Karen) Meadows of New Ellenton, Jim E. (Kate) Gray, Paul Gray both of North Augusta, S.C. and Wayne (Angie) Hicks of Graniteville, S.C. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul E. Gray and a sister, Jenny Baker. She was born in Louisville, Ga. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a dedicated member of Warrenville Church of God, and she loved her church and her God supremely. She was fondly known as “MeMe” to many; especially to her numerous nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly. She also loved her pets, Opie and Barney. A woman of her caliber shall be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Death is not the end, as she has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly Home, where all is joy and peace in a land of endless tomorrows. She has no more pain and suffering now. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held at Warrenville Church of God on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Robert Skelton and Rev. Jeffery Hicks officiating. The interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Park in Aiken, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Lucky Gray, Taylor Gray, Andrew (Dillon) Stone, Harvey Stone, Daniel Powell and Phillip Camley. Lee Gunter, Jerry (Jeremiah) Hawkins and Paul Turner will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Warrenville Church of God, 130 Simon St., Warrenville, S.C. 29851. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Tuesday evening, March 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Friends may also call at her sister Deborah Spires’ residence at 1474 Augusta Rd., Warrenville, S.C. Napier Funeral Home Inc., 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829, is in charge of the funeral arrangements. You can sign the online guest register at www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com
