Lucy Mikell Stone

December 31, 1969 — November 25, 2015

Stone-Lucy Mikell Stone, age 69, of New Ellenton, S.C., wife of the late Jake Stone and daughter of the late Lawrence Mikell and the late Mary Simmons Mikell, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. She is survived by a daughter Diane (Leon) Baughman of Ward, S.C.; sons, Earl (Sandy) Goff of Batesburg, S.C. and Robert (Karen) Goff of Wagener, S.C.; a brother, Bobby Mikell of Iva, S.C.; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. In her working days, she worked as a Supervisor with the Cleanup Crew at SRS. Her family stated that she was a hardworking mom that loved her family and really enjoyed cooking, and she infact was the very best cook ever. She also loved the outdoors and nature. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 69 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved one. She has now made that great transition to her new Heavenly home where all is joy and peace and no more sad goodbyes are ever spoken. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening. November 29th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jack Atkinson officiating. The interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, 4524 Whiskey Rd. in Aiken, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Bobby Goff, Robert Goff, Joseph Goff, Tyler Wingard, Hasting Snipes, DeWitt Beckner and Doug Cohn.
