Martha Anderson Hicks

December 31, 1969 — January 4, 2016

HICKS-Martha Anderson Hicks, age 68, of Warrenville, S.C., loving wife for over 25 years to Loyd “BoBo” Hicks and daughter of Mary Bridges Anderson of Graniteville, S.C. and the late Harry Anderson, entered into eternal rest at Aiken Regional Medical Centers on Monday, January 4, 2016. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Dale (Tammie) Williams of Trenton, S.C.; daughters, Tonya (Pete) Derrick of Aiken, S.C. and Candace Pitts of Graniteville, S.C.; sisters, Jean (Tom) Dyer of Warrenville, S.C. and Jo Ann Riley of Warrenville, S.C.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was born in Langley, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of Graniteville First Baptist Church. She was a retired Dispatcher with Graniteville Company. Her husband stated that she was a loving and devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She loved her family with all her heart, and they in turn loved her just as much. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 68 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. She has made that great transition to her new Heavenly Home, where all is joy and peace in a land of endless tomorrows. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Clint D. Jackson officiating. The Pallbearers will be Tom Dyer, Stanley Heath, Tony Redmond, Lavern, Larry and Jammie Moyer. The Employees of S. C. Department of Transportation will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the day of the service from 2:30 until 3:30 PM, at which time the procession will leave the funeral home for the service at the cemetery.
