Mary Corbin Beck

BECK-Mary Corbin Beck, age 84, of Aiken, S.C., daughter of the late J. D. Corbin and the late Rosabelle Scott Corbin and wife of the late Hartwell J. “Bubba” Beck, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Friday, February 26, 2016. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Kathy Beck of Aiken, S.C.; grandsons, Jerry Ray (Catherine) Beck and Travis Hunter (Brittany) Beck; great granddaughters, Amelia Rosily Beck and Mary Corbin Beck; sisters, Betty Brunson of Jackson, S.C., Pat Drake of Charleston, S.C. and Irene Alexander of Jackson, S.C.; a brother, Leroy Corbin of Beech Island, S.C.; a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, J. D. Corbin and James Corbin. She was born in Greenwood County, S.C. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Aiken, S.C. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. The family stated that she was a very giving person. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 84 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her family and loved ones. She has now made that great transition to her new Heavenly home where all is joy and peace and no more sad goodbyes are ever spoken. A service, celebrating her life, will be held at Aiken First Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Fred Andrea officiating. The family will receive friends in the church parlor immediately following the service.
