Neoma Bedenbaugh Screws

Neoma B. Screws, age 89, entered into rest on Saturday January 6, 2024. 

She is survived by her son Maxie (Cheryl) Hallman; daughters, Joanie Lindsay, Kathy Hayes, Bobbie Jean "Peanut" (Kirk) Hammond; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren ; and sister, Josephine Barnes.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Robert "Ken" Screws; daughter, Carol Jones; parents, Luther and Lizzie Bedenbaugh; brothers, Asbury Bedenbaugh, Bill Bedenbaugh; sisters, Margaret Kepler, Rachel Helm.

Ms. Screws was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Graniteville and was employed by the Graniteville Company as a Spinner. She and her husband also owned Ken's Gulf Station in Graniteville for many years. She will be missed by her family and friends and all whose lives she touched. 

A funeral service honoring her life will be held on Thursday January 11, 2024 in the chapel of Napier Funeral Home at 12pm with Rev. Harold Herd and Rev. James Young officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Parker, Kenny Joe Boyd, Edward Inabinet, Scott McDaniel, Bruce Warren and Gary Busbee.

The family would like to thank the staff of Shadow Oaks Assisted Living for their care and compassion during her stay.
