LOTT-Olin E. Lott, Sr., age 81 of Aiken, S.C., loving husband for 58 years to Nancy Bryant Lott and son of the late Malon Lawson Lott and the late Elma Redd Lott, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 19, 2015. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Olin E. (Sandy) Lott, Jr. of Graniteville, S.C.; daughters, Caroline (Steve) Woodward of Aiken, S.C. and Myra (Russ) Parrish of Augusta, Ga.; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was born in Vaucluse, S.C. and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. During his working years, he was a Maintenance Mechanic with Owens Corning Fiberglas in Aiken, S.C. He was a dedicated member of Bethel Baptist Church in Aiken, where he served as a Deacon for many years and taught the Men’s Senior Sunday School Class. He had also served as the RA Leader at Vaucluse Baptist Church for years. His family stated that he was definitely a family man who loved his family with all his heart. You could always find him outdoors as he was quite an outdoorsman who loved farming. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. A man of his caliber shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 81 years that God granted him on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends. He has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with his Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. He has made that great transition to his new Heavenly home where no more sad goodbyes are ever spoken for all is joy and peace in that land. A service, celebrating his life and home going, will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Aiken on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Brancie Stephens officiating. The interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Park in Aiken. The Pallbearers will be Richard Johnson, David Johnson, Stanley Redd, David Lott, Leon Lott, Jr. and Karl Gorrell, the Men's Senior Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers . Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S.C. 29210 or to Bethel Baptist Church, P. O. Box 2168, Aiken, S.C. 29802.
