HOWE-Olive Ready Best Howe, age 87, of Aiken, S.C., daughter of the late Soloman C. Ready and the late Donie Elizabeth Still Ready, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. She is survived by daughters, Myra Best (Chuck) Smith, Diane Best (Jeep) Still, Sandra Best (Billy) Pierce and Debra Best (Richard) Newman; a foster daughter, Caroline Alexander Hamilton; stepchildren, Cindy Long and Danny Howe; a sister, Doris Hiers; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Douglas Best and her second husband, Arthur M. Howe and a stepson, Marty Howe. She was born in Graniteville, S.C. and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was raised in and during her childhood went to Calvary Baptist Church in Graniteville. As she grew to adulthood and married, she became a dedicated and active member of Millbrook Baptist Church in Aiken, S.C. There she taught the Youth Sunday School Class and was a member of the Senior Ladies Class. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was a firm believer in love and forgiveness, and she was never judgemental. She was a giving person and would literally give you the shirt off her back if she thought you needed it. The world would surely be a better place with more ladies like Olive Howe. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 87 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones.
