Phillip Herndon

He is survived by his children, Phillip R. Wilson (Krystal), Melissa Sturkie (the late: Thomas Sturkie), April Walton (Joey), Stacey Hayes (the late: Chad Barker), Allison Barrett (David); brother, Frank Herndon; sisters, Rosiland Simmons, Sue Grizzard; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ules and Margie Weaver Herndon; and brother, Weaver Herndon.

Mr. Herndon retired from the Kentucky Tennessee Clay Company as a Clay Bagger. He also worked in the textile industry prior to that. He was an avid Georgia Bulldawg fan and will be deeply missed by his famly and all whose lives he touched.

A funeral service honoring his life will be held on Wednesday September 28, 2022 at 11am in the chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Boone officiating. The Interment will immediately follow at the Langley Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening September 27, 2022 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Bryson Barrett, Seth Blackwell, Byron Murray, Jonathan Garcia, Jeremy Barton and Stephen Herndon. Cameron Rawls will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
