Rev. Charles Franklin Wilson

Rev. Charles Franklin Wilson, age 89, of Aiken, went home to be with the Lord on Friday March 8, 2024 at his residence surrounded by loved ones.

He is survived by his daughters, Debby Wilson, Dianne (Martin) Herron, Susan (Rick Kazinci) Watson; sister Everlee McDaniel Medlock; grandchildren, Jeffery (Kelley) Taylor, Chad (Dawn) Taylor, Tiffany (Michael) Harris, April (Walt) Ray; and 14 great grandchildren, Garrett Cates, Chandler Cates, Landon Cates, Kennedy Icenhour, Camden Taylor, Cragen Taylor, Cambrie Taylor, Cannon Taylor, Jared Gravat, Nolan Ray, Hannah Ray, Trevor Taylor and Paige Taylor.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Louise Wilson; parents, Thomas Jefferson and Lena Mae Wilson; brothers, Joseph Edwin Wilson, James Rufus Davis, William Leonard Wilson, Clarence Wiley Wilson, Leonard Earl Wilson; sisters, Julia Inez Widener, Bearnice West Plunkett, Mattie Taylor Coleman; grandson, Jacky Lamar Rogers, Jr.; and great grandson, Dathan Josiah Taylor.

Bro. Wilson pastored several churches over the years, before retiring as pastor of the Aiken Congregational Holiness Church, after 35 years of service. He touched many lives during his ministry and helped many families in his days of serving the Lord. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched in his 89 years that were granted him on earth.

A funeral service celebrating his life and legacy will be held on Monday March 11, 2024 at 2pm in the chapel of Napier Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastors Jeffery Taylor, Steve Meador and Steve Gillette officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville. The family will receive friends from 12pm until the time of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Garrett Cates, Camden Taylor, Chandler Cates, Nolan Ray, Trevor Taylor and Cragen Taylor.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Landon Cates and Cannon Taylor.

We would like to acknowledge the outstanding support from Gentiva Hospice, especially Ida, Rebecca, Kayla, Wendy and Wayne. Their heart felt love, help and support for Charles and the family during this transition was greatly appreciated.
