Robert R. Fordham, Jr.

FORDHAM-Robert R. Fordham, Jr., age 64, of Beech Island, S.C., loving husband for 29 years to Betty Austin Fordham and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Fordham, Sr., entered into rest at the VA Hospital in Augusta, Ga. on Wednesday, March 3, 2017. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters; Carla Wells and Coleen Rosier both of Beech Island, S.C. and Theresa Muller of Augusta, Ga.; sons, Maverick Sikes of Langley, S.C. and John Davidson of Beech Island, S.C.; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was born in Lakeland, Florida, but has been a resident of Aiken County for most of his life. He was of the Baptist Faith. He retired from Texaco as a flat screen printer. He was a US Army Veteran having bravely served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched during the 64 precious years that God granted him on this earth. Death is not the end for Robert Fordham, as he has just made that great transition to his new Heavenly home, where all is joy and peace, in a land of endless tomorrows, and fond memories of him shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. A graveside service, with Military Honors, will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Augusta, Ga. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2:30 PM with Rev. Derald Adams officiating.
