Mr. Robert Alvin Holsenback entered into rest on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
Robert was born in Aiken, S.C. on July 20, 1962, he graduated from Aiken High School in 1980, and earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Baptist College of Charleston in 1984. He was an extremely generous man with a heart of gold. He enjoyed gardening, planting, watching things grow, enjoying the fruits of his labor, and he loved animals. He was a member of North Aiken Church of God and knew his Bible frontwards and backwards. Robert had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed making people laugh. He was always the life of the party and added a little bit of joy when he entered the room. More than anything he was proud of his three children, and all that they achieved. He will be remembered for being a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Alvin Holsenback.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Cato Holsenback; wife, Sheila; sons, Robert (Patricia) Holsenback Jr., Jon (Erin) Holsenback; daughter, Kristy (Hans) Cansler; sister, Julie Baynham; and five grandchildren.
A Funeral Service, celebrating his life, will be held at the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 3 P.M. with Rev. Bill Howard III to officiate. The Burial will follow immediately at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Johnston, S.C. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Cook, Joe Rhoades, Joe Tucker, Jeff Murray, Joshua Holtsizer, and Blake Shearer.
In lieu of flowers the family request the donations in Robert’s memory be made to North Aiken Church of God, 2610 Columbia Hwy N, Aiken, S.C. 29805.
