Shirley Franklin Jordan

December 31, 1969 — August 3, 2016

JORDAN-Shirley Franklin Jordan, age 78, of Vaucluse, S.C., wife of the late Julius “Alonzo” Jordan, and daughter of the late Bonhan Franklin and the late Mattie G. Rogers Franklin, entered into rest at Aiken Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. She is survived by daughters, Cynthia “Cindy” Dyer of Vaucluse, S.C. and Tammy (Al) R. Smith of Grovetown, Ga.; a son, William “Billy” A. (Lynette) Jordan, Beech Island, S.C.; sisters, Mary Hallman of Grovetown, Ga., Sue Bodie of Greenwood, S.C; Barbara (Rabun) Cowart of Aiken, S.C. and Sylvia Jordan of Vaucluse, S.C.; brothers, John “Buddy” (Ann) Johnson of Aiken, S.C. and Edward (Lynn) Johnson of Lakeland, Florida; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was a member of Fellowship of Truth Baptist Church in Graniteville, S.C. She was a member of the Lunch Bunch at Gregg Park in Graniteville. She was a avid flower gardener and she loved to read. She really enjoyed watching NCIS on TV. Shirley was a very outspoken person, and you always knew where you stood with her, which yielded her many friends. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 78 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. A service, celebrating her life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jamie Bodiford and Rev. Henry Carnley officiating. The interment will follow at the Vaucluse Cemetery in Vaucluse, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Al Smith, Kyle Thomas, Julius, Ronald, Donald and Cody Jordan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening, August 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Napier Funeral Home 315 Main Street Graniteville SC, 29829 is in charge of all arrangements.
