Susie Mae Glover

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Dean (Lynn) Glover, Ginger (Trevor) Henderson; brother, Giles (Willene) Johnson; grandchildren, Kristan Martin, Amanda Pyles, Cody McElhaney, Taylor Glover, Mackenzie Henderson, Brooke Henderson; and great grandchildren, Kinslee Martin, Grayson Martin, Hudson Pyles, Ella Kate Martin, Hayden Pyles, Cooper Martin, Riggs McElhaney and Sage Henderson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James A. Johnson, Sr. and Margie Gregory Johnson; and brother, James A. “Pete” Johnson, Jr. 

Mrs. Glover was a member of the Stiefeltown Baptist church and worked many years for South Carolina Electric and Gas. She enjoyed fishing, family and had a deep love for music. In her earlier years she sang in church and even traveled in a band with her husband. She will be deeply missed by her family and all whose lives she touched in her 80 precious year on earth.

A funeral service honoring her life and legacy will be held on Tuesday September 13, 2022 at 4pm in the chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Cartin officiating. The interment will immediately follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening September 12, 2022 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Glover’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and her great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
