Theodore D Arthur

Theodore D. Arthur, age 91, of Warrenville, S.C., peacefully went to be with the Lord at his residence, with his family by his side on Friday, July 13, 2018. He was the son of the late Chester and Verna Wooten Arthur and was the eldest of six children. He was married for 73 years to his childhood sweetheart, the late Ellen Whisenant Arthur. He was Employed at E.I. DuPont for 34 years, member of the Masonic Lodge in Graniteville, was a Deacon and taught a Sunday School Class for years at Breezy Hill Baptist Church. For the past few years has been a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. He loved his church and Pastors, who have been so faithful in visiting him; also the church members have been so faithful in visiting and praying with him. When he was not able to attend church, he would watch the live services on his Computer. He is survived by two daughters; Cherry (the late Stan) Glisson and Bonnie (Billy) Goff; three grandchildren, Tina Sherrod, David Glisson and Chris Goff; four great grandchildren, Clayton and Brandon Sherrod, Sydney & Nichole Goff; brother, Tony Arthur; sisters, Eleanor Harkins and Frances Cote. The past year, he had caregivers that were considered as family and most of them called him PaPa or Pops. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Arthur and James O’Neal Arthur; a sister, Kathryn Grice and a son-in-law, Stan Glisson. He loved traveling, camping and fishing. He loved his family, his little dog, Babe, and his cat, Oreo with all his heart, and they in turn loved him. A celebration of his life, with visitation starting at 11:00 AM and funeral service following at 12:00 Noon, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Monday, July 16, 2018 with Pastor Tad Marshall officiating. The interment will follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Billy Goff, Chris Goff, David Glisson, Bryan Timmerman, Clayton and Brandon Sherrod.
