GAY-Wayne E. Gay, Jr., age 51, of Warrenville, S.C., loving husband of Sharlea Silas Gay and son of Wayne E. Gay, Sr. and the late Nellie Ruth Jordan, entered into rest in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by daughters, Madison Lucas of Chester, Ga. and Angel Gay of Gloverville, S.C.; stepchildren, Nina & Lance Vidal of Warrenville, S.C.; a brother, James (Lindsay) Gay of North Augusta, S.C.; sisters, Barbara (Tony) Powell of North Augusta, S.C., Tonya (Earl) Wilson of Florida, Linda Thompson of North Augusta, S.C., Janice (Bobby) Price of Augusta, Ga., Ruth Stephens of North Augusta, S.C., Christina Weston, Allison Lizer Small and Andrea Lizer all of Aiken, S.C. He was preceded in death by his maternal mother, Carolyn Faircloth. He was born in Augusta, Ga. and has spent most of his life in Aiken County, S.C. He attended Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville. He was a US Navy Veteran. He was a self-employed electrician by trade. He was a loving son, husband, father and stepfather. He shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 51 years that God granted him on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. A service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Richard Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The interment will be private. Jason Willing, Kevin Silas, Dwayne Minor, Christopher, John and Nick Stephens will serve as Pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Christian Heritage Church, 285 Ascauga Lake Rd., Graniteville, S.C. 29829. The family wishes to extend a “Special Thank You” to the families of Katie Boswell, Brian Scott, the Trull Boys and Bill and Laura Scott.
