Willine Glover Steelman

Willine Glover Steelman, a devoted homemaker and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend peacefully went to be with the Lord on Saturday December 28, 2024.

Willine was a lifelong area resident who graduated from LBC High School. She was 87 years young and loved being with people. She loved her family very much and greatly enjoyed family cookouts. She had a love of the outdoors and, in her earlier years, enjoyed gardening, camping and playing golf. She never passed on a chance to go fishing or playing games. Among those she liked playing were Bingo, Scrabble, and could play Dice for hours. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her loving memory are her three children, Sheila (Danny) Smalley, Aiken; Keith (Tina) Steelman, Warrenville; Brian (Marie) Steelman, Warrenville; her twin brother Jackie Wayne Glover, North Augusta; and her sister-in-law, Lois Glover, Charlotte, NC. Nine Grandchildren, Carrie (Ricky)Hicks, Aiken; Dana (Perry) Allen, Aiken; Matthew (Brandy) Smalley, Aiken; Stephen (Adri) Smalley, Aiken; Megan (David) Gmerek, Aiken; Clayte (Crystal) Steelman, Aiken; Tyler (Merrill) Steelman, Graniteville; Skylar (Patrick) Steelman Malcom, Graniteville; and Jacob Steelman. Also, sixteen great grandchildren. She would often comment about how blessed she was with her growing family.

She will join her family who have preceded her. Her husband, William Clayte Steelman; parents, Clinton and Alberta Redd Glover; brother, Cyril (Betty) Glover; Cecil Glover and Gerald Glover. She will also join three of her dearest friends, Cynthia "Chris" Lessard, Betty Wilkins and Billie Eubanks.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday January 2, 2024 at 11am in the chapel of Napier Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Stephen Phillips officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.
