Wyanett Stephens Evans

Ms. Wyanett Stephens Evans, age 76, entered into rest on Wednesday August 23, 2023 at her home in Beech Island. 

She is survived by her children, Wyatt "Glen"  (Kathy) Evans, John Lester Evans, Morrell L. "Marty" Evans, Jr., Wanda (Jyrell) Shedd, Teresa (Charlie) Webster; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; sister, Jyanett Burbage; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Morrell L. Evans, Sr.; parents, Wyatt and Eleanor Kennedy Stephens; daughter, Toni Benne Pitts; two grandchildren; sisters, Tira Day, Sondra Stephens and "Baby Angel" Stephens.

Ms. Evans was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy. She worked for the Augusta Chronicle as a contract driver, Connells Amusement and Regent's Security. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. 

A memorial service honoring her life and legacy will be held on Saturday August 26, 2023 at 3pm in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Jay officiating. The family will greet friends from 2 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
