Mrs. Zula Mae Jowers Johnson went to be with her Lord Sunday February 26, 2023.

Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her husband Julian Edward Johnson; parents, Roland Clifton and Mildred Hatchell Jowers; sons, Walker Delane Johnson, and Baby Boy Johnson; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Fay Johnson; and grandchildren, Allen Johnson, Billy Driggers, Kay Johnson, Ray Johnson, Jason Johnson, and Danny Johnson Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Danny Ray (Cecilia) Johnson Sr., Tommy Julian Johnson Sr.; daughter, Julia Johnson (David) Johnson; daughter-in-law, Virginia Johnson; grandchildren, David Johnson Jr, Spence (Lynn) Johnson, Patrick Johnson, Rodney (Angie) Johnson, India Johnson, Laura Jean Johnson, Beth (Travis) Perry, Terry (Pam) Johnson, JJ (Beth) Johnson, Victoria (Kevin) Byrd, Robert Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, Randy Johnson, Jerry Thornton, Tommy (Frankie) Johnson Jr., Darrin (April) Johnson; 34 great grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson worked for many years as a hairstylist at her own salon, Zula’s Beauty Salon. She loved people and would always insist on feeding them or giving them some of her famous iced tea. She was a God-fearing woman, an example of a Christian lady, and would always encourage others to follow Christ. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend.

A Funeral Service, celebrating her life, will be held at the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home at 2 P.M. Wednesday March 1, 2023, with Rev. Ray Taylor, Rev. Greg Turner, and Rev. Robert Skelton to officiate. The burial will follow immediately at The Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Spence Johnson, Patrick Johnson, David Johnson Jr., Jacob Johnson, Terry Johnson, and JJ Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rodney Johnson Sr., Tommy Johnson Jr. Darrin Johnson, Robert Johnson, Jerry Thornton, Randy Johnson, Victoria Byrd, and Abigail Johnson.
